  1. I think it's not so much they don't realise the irony/stupidity of what they're saying; it's they just don't care. Couldn't be bothered.

    I've pointed out such moronic statements to companies before (e.g. while reading terms in their T&C for instance, or in promos, etc) and their response is, "Oh, yeah, whatever."
